We had our works Christmas party at this venue and we cannot recommend highly enough how wonderful it was. The food and service were amazing. Katie the manager and her staff were so accommodating and friendly. We will definitely be booking again for next year! Thank you.

We hosted my daughter's wedding at The Angel over the weekend and had an absolutely amazing time. Some of us stayed on Friday night in preparation for the Saturday wedding, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. They went above and beyond to ensure everything was relaxed and special. The weather even cooperated on Saturday afternoon, allowing us to enjoy canapés and take photos on the bridge in the beautiful gardens. The catering team deserves a special mention - the food was outstanding. I highly recommend this venue for any special occasion. Thank you, The Angel, for a perfect experience.

Having eaten here one other time and the food being lovely (the nicest onion rings ever! we decided to come again. This time it wasn't as nice. Very hit and miss, i think. Staff were great. Just the food that was disappointing.

We booked a table for Sunday lunch for a party of 11. We received a warm welcome and our drinks were promptly taken. The food menu had a good selection and the food itself was excellent and enjoyed by everyone. We dined in the conservatory, which was nice and warm on a cold day. I would have given five stars, but the food service was a bit slow, likely due to our large group. We are looking forward to the full opening of the hotel and restaurant once renovations are complete.

We had a very disappointing Christmas Day lunch with poor service at this restaurant. Despite sending back tough beef and awful desserts with feedback about their quality, nothing was done except to inform the chef. The mince pies were served in plastic packaging and the overall experience felt rushed and not special. I took the time to provide constructive feedback via email in early January, but received no response. I followed up again a couple of weeks later, and still have not heard back. It seems that this establishment does not value its customers. I will not be returning and do not recommend it.
