They took care of our party of eight with no issues. We've dined here twice and plan to return again soon. The restaurant is dog-friendly and the staff is friendly. View all feedback.
What ashleyCLS doesn't like about Otterington Shorthorn Inn:
We called in at the Shorthorn Inn for lunch after visiting Northallerton. It’s a small country pub along the A167. There wasn’t many people in the pub and we managed to get a table straight away, there was no table service and we had to order at the bar which wasn’t too much of an inconvenience with it being quiet upon our visit. During my stay in the area, I ordered takeout from this pub on two occasions. Each time, the food was ready at the specified time, well-packaged, and incredibly delicious. Our family tried a variety of dishes, such as vegetable lasagne, burgers, and fish and chips. I personally enjoyed the beef lasagne and steak pie (not at the same time), both of which were delicious. I highly recommend this pub for its food, especially coming from someone who is very particular about what they eat.
This restaurant serves delicious homemade food at a reasonable price. I highly recommend visiting the restaurant or getting a takeaway. We discovered this gem during lockdown and it has become our favorite spot for takeout.
We had a wonderful Sunday lunch at this restaurant with great service and incredible value for money. The meat was tender, the gravy was scrumptious, but the only downside was the presence of flies.
Lovely place to have visit. Great beer and such a great atmosphere. Staff and landlord are a pleasure and very welcoming.
We were on the campsite round the corner and spent a rainy afternoon in this pub. It’s very nicely decorated and had lovely atmosphere. The staff are nice and friendly.
