Took a while ordering from the consul as a guest,however, worth the hassle as we enjoy the McDonald food as a treat now and then
The usual McDonalds but this one is quite awkwardly placed coming from the main motorway via various roundabouts and down back streets. Quite a bit of parking once you arrive and electric chargers also with the expected cleanliness. As this was a late night visit service seemed more balanced towards the drive thru and using self service points as I was ignored when trying to order. Once orders went in the order arrived quickly and the cleaning staff member was very polite and professional.
Today we visited the drive-thru at this restaurant. We ordered a Big Mac meal with a flat white (no fizzy drinks available) and a Grand Big Mac with bacon, along with a strawberry milkshake. The staff was polite and we were served quickly. However, upon receiving our order, I had to remove a hair from under the lid of my partially filled and lukewarm flat white. When we arrived home in Leeming village, just a few minutes drive from the restaurant, we found that the food was completely cold - both the burgers and the chips. We had to reheat everything in the microwave. The presentation of the food was also poor. While my Big Mac was acceptable, my husband's Grand Mac was haphazardly put together and needed to be reassembled. It seems like the products were made in advance and kept on a hot plate, which didn't keep them warm. There was only one car in front of us at the drive-thru, so it's unclear why this happened. Overall, the service was fast but the quality of the presentation and the temperature of the food were lacking.
I visited the drive-thru today. The person taking our order was very nice. However, when we pulled up to pick up our food, it was a different experience. The employee handed us our food but had difficulty passing over 2 drinks. It was hard to reach them from the car, so I said I would take them out of the cup holder. She rudely replied, 'No, you have to take it.' I managed to get the drinks in the car without spilling them. She did not say thank you, just glared at me and walked away. When we opened our food, there were no sauces or napkins included. The food was decent, but the employee serving us was rude and unprofessional.
On arriving at the main entrance you could believe McDonald’s was closed as the main entrance looks a bit run down and McDonald’s is tucked round the back , staff were friendly and service was good , for the first time ever we were asked by a friendly host called Emily if we were enjoying our meal which was a nice touch
