The best sushi spot in town! The service and food are consistently excellent! The new location looks amazing! Thank you!
I can confidently say that I have never had a bad meal at Yoyo's, and surprisingly, I'm not even a big fan of sushi!
As for the green salad, I wasn't a fan of the red leaf lettuce, which didn't quite complement the dressing. The lettuce pieces were also larger than I would have liked, making them a bit challenging to eat. On the other hand, the sushi looked enticing, but I had some trouble picking it up—either the fish would separate from the rice, or the rice would break apart. Despite this, the sushi was fresh and tasty, which I appreciated. The California roll pieces, however, were well-shaped and substantial. They were fresh and presented beautifully, which I found impressive. Overall, the food was quite good, with the exception of the green salad, which didn't appeal to me. **ATMOSPHERE:** Upon entering the restaurant, I was struck by the lovely decor, featuring various cups, saucers, dolls, and wall ornaments that showcased Japanese art. The booths, with their small cushions, were comfortable, and I enjoyed the calming classical music playing in the background, which added to a relaxed dining experience. I noticed the restaurant had two sections, with the back area separated by a small open door and some tables curtained off for added privacy. The establishment was also clean and well-organized. **SERVICE:** As I walked in, I stood by the front while the sushi chef noticed me. The server was busy taking an order, but the sushi chef kindly instructed me to sit anywhere I liked. After a few moments, the server approached with a menu. He was very nice and even checked in on my meal as I ate, displaying a kind demeanor that made it easy to ask him questions. Excellent service! **COST:** - Sushi Lunch A: $13.95 - Tax: $1.81 - Total: $15.76 **WOULD I RETURN?** If I’m in the area again, I would definitely consider coming back, as I mostly enjoyed my experience.
The Japanese cuisine here is outstanding, complemented by an amazing atmosphere. Some tables are set up as private rooms, adding to the uniqueness of the experience. This place is truly one of Georgetown's best-kept secrets.
