We live in Runcorn but when we want Fish and Chips there's no other Chippie can match Marie's. You always have to queue which shows that it is very popular. The Fish is cooked to order the batter is always crispy and the Fish is white and delicious, the Chips are always fresh and the Mushy Peas are lovely. It's worth travelling over the Bridge to Widnes to go here. I would certainly recommend this place. View all feedback.
The standard at this restaurant is consistently high. You can't go wrong with Marie's mixture with gravy. I highly recommend it. They are open for lunch, as well as Thursday and Friday evenings.
I had heard a lot of good things about the chips at Marie's Chippy being the best in Widnes, but I was skeptical. However, just before Christmas, my coworkers and I were looking for a place for lunch and decided to give it a try since we work nearby. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the chips were indeed the best I have ever tasted! A close second would be the chips from a chippy in Llanfair, Anglesey. The restaurant was very clean and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Marie, I'm not sure what you put in your chips, but keep up the good work! Thank you for a great meal!
This is a great English chip shop, which is hard to find these days. The portions are generous, the staff is friendly, and the prices are reasonable. They offer a variety of options like pies, curry, and gravy. The shop is kept very clean and has received good ratings for its cleanliness.
Absolutely hands down the best chippy around. Not open for many hours in a day or many days in a week, so check before you go. Well worth it!
The best chippy in the world! Been going here for 25 years and even though I don't live in Widnes now, we always make it a priority to go back each time we return....It's fantastic
