During our lunch break, my friend and I decided to stop by this restaurant for a cup of tea. We enjoyed the New York baked cheesecake and chocolate brownie, both of which were delicious. In the past, we have also tried their warm and tasty scones. View all feedback.
What Riley Matthews doesn't like about Bridgewater Tea Rooms:
Visited the cafe at lunchtime today Asked to see, a menu after which we enquired as to the nature of the soup of the day. Answer there was none. Selected sandwiches and toasties from the menu, including tuna and sweetcorn. Later told...that there was no sweetcorn. Sandwiches, toasties and teas arrived, but no garnish as described on the menu (salad and crisps). We complained and were told that the cafe had only been... View all feedback.
We stopped for lunch during a walk along the bridgewater canal. the place is quite difficult to find from the street, but we really enjoyed the pastry cake, the beautiful selection of cakes and the coffee. the staff was very friendly and the prices were extremely reasonable.
Love the service very friendly helpful staff and eating is amazing away fresh. the tee room is dog friendly too so that her pup get a little tasty bites
We had the afternoon in the winter garden, the tables were laid with fresh white tablecloths and vases of real roses. the food was delicious! I'm not sure if it was a regular menu as our visit was for a chicken party, but everything. was well presented and very tasty, so I'm sure that the standard would always be the same, even if the offer varies. we had a selection of fingersandwichsen, mini quiche, mini-volt Au fan, mini Yorkshire doll with bark meat and shrimp cocktail. there was a huge disc of victoria sponge cake, merengue with obst, lemon posset and a sohne with jam and camouflaged cream. the teestuben are in a small collection of craft workshops that we enjoyed having a walk, the prices were very reasonable and those were original and well done. the environment next to the canal is ideal for a walk and the fact that dogs are allowed in the winter garden means that I will definitely visit with my casual friends again, I could also treat myself to a pampering session in the beauty room soon! this is a hidden gem and I do not hesitate to recommend it.
Not a bad little place; winter garden is beautiful and many beautiful small pieces for sale. good small space for a browser, although it was really cold after one had sat down one.

Selected sandwiches and toasties from the menu, including tuna and sweetcorn. Later told...that there was no sweetcorn. Sandwiches, toasties and teas arrived, but no garnish as described on the menu (salad and crisps). We complained and were told that the cafe had only been open three days and that there were no salads or crisps. Manager instructed waitress to offer a discount of per person, which we reluctantly accepted. After this experience, we would not recommend the cafe to anyone.
