The Point Tavern is recommended by the locals where you can get pub prices on meals and drinks. With not a lot of restaurants in town this place is worth dropping into if you are staying at Hallidays Point. View all feedback.

A nice and venue. Thee staff are ok buy but not overly helpful. I have been twice in the last two months and the meals not as described. The Barramundi was Lemon Sole which was on the small side. The Chilli seafood pasta was very lean on the seafood side as well. The oldies just pushed in at the head of the order line and when I got there the Soecial were sold out to the oldies who pushed in. Nice night out with live band playing. Very busy tavern with lots of families with small children. Outdoor area with roof and plastic walls was warmed by a fireplace. The meals were ok. But not great. Value for money not great either, considering most main meals were close to $30 each. You have to order at counter and pick up at counter.
If I could give more than 5 stars I would ! Not only was our experience friendly tasty it was relaxing and fun! OLIVIA went out of her way to make us feel like locals and WADE behind the bar was fabulous. We were told the pizza was the best choice here and it certainly didn’t disappoint! So we had to go back the following night to try the chicken Parmie and seafood which was also delicious! Nothing is a problem for this fabulous lot of staff here and you are treated like locals, the kiddies are catered for equally as well with a games room and outdoor place centre, highly recommend!
We had an early dinner and enjoyed our meals, although the price was on the high side for the food we got. Should have been more salad on plates. Only got 3 X small lamb koftas on plate. Plenty on menu to choose from. Very busy on a Friday night. We used the courtesy bus for the first time and found Steve to be a fantastic asset. Drinks were also expensive.

We came here twice during our stay. Some meals were excellent, some a bit disappointing. The Italian Bird (chicken with cream sauce) was the best, followed by the salt pepper squid. The chicken parmigiana was probably the worst, as the chicken had been overcooked and lacked flavour. Meals are large and pretty good value. Service was very friendly and fast. There is plenty of parking.
