Very nice location and by far the best restaurant in the old town of Halle. Reservation by web was simple and straightforward, while other locals do not keep it necessary to call back. For food: a varied composition of dishes that were very good. The whole ambience around the Zum Händel is rounded off by a motivated and friendly staff with perfect service. Go. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Zum Händel:
I wanted to go to the concert on Saturday, November 27th, but failed in the inspector. After checking my vaccination status, she asked for the ID card. Instead, I presented the health insurance card with my photo. She insisted on the ID. Also the intercession of my acquaintances was no use. On the other table the couple was allowed to pass, although an ID was missing. No nice evening. G.S. View all feedback.
The Trade House is just great! I was there to Abiball and it's sooo beautiful! The ceilings are very high and it is completely beautifully arranged! For an Abiball this is the absolute place and the people who have to celebrate in the Volkspark are really sorry! I think a visit would be worth it for anyone who likes something more chic and pompous. I definitely recommend it and whoever does not follow this council is self-indebted!
At our hall visit the Handel House was on the program list. Some of his works like water music or fireworks are well known to us. So what was closer than looking at Handel's birthplace today was a museum. Georg Friedrich Handel was born in 1685, in the age of baroque. His birthplace is still preserved. Nevertheless it has a few hundred years on the hump, it is modernly decorated inside. The exhibition „Händel – der Europäische“, currently presents the special exhibition „Händel als Staatskomponist?“ as well as a musical instrument museum. After we paid four Euros per person, we crawled the ancient stairs up into the 2nd OG. There we had to decide – to the left to the musical instrument exhibition or to the right to the Handel exhibition. I had gone half to the left, so we first admired many old, well-preserved musical instruments. An organ is built in the 1st OG. In the 2nd OG you can look into the organ from above and look at the structure. On the other side of the 2nd OG there was the exhibition on Handel's life. Handel has lived in England for many years. Not only the display boards of the exhibitions were in German and English, but some exhibits were provided with English captions as they came from there. Funny I found a picture on which Handel was tracked by his family on the attic at midnight, sitting on a piano. It was believed to be in the house. The little ghost was quite real : in the 1st OG there are other musical instruments. On a keyboard instrument you can have the different sounds of the musical instruments, e.g. a piano, an organ, etc., played at the touch of a button. There's a tour of Handel's life here. After we had walked through different rooms, we finally came to a small theatre. At the touch of a button, one could look at works by Handel on stage, with explanations of the Master himself. Back on the ground floor, I got a book about the exhibitions in Handel's house with many interesting details. In addition, there is the usual souvenir to buy Schnickschnack. If you are interested in music, we can only recommend a visit to the Handel House. There are audio guides in different languages. You are as secular as it was Handel in lifetime:
Not only the Handel House is worth a visit, but also the annual Handel Festival. These move over ten days and even though I personally do not have a classic lover or Klassik Kenner am I find the final concert in the Galgenberg Gorge just brilliant. The atmosphere, music and the final fireworks are really a new experience. And new impressions, as we know, extend the horizon. You can find information about this year's Progamm under the following link: [here link]. There are also various events taking place during the festival in the city, so that the marketplace is at the centre and you can also listen to one or the other event. This year are the Festival of 02.06.11 12.06.11. And again back to the trade house, here you can find out about the development and the work of Handel extensively, especially since this building is the birthplace Georg Friedrich Händel. By the way, every tourist should take the picture of his honour in the middle of the market square. You can't overlook it in any case and you're definitely going by when you're in town.
Sweet café/restaurant in the middle of the city. Great atmosphere in the vault and on the outside seat. So many attention to detail in decoration and ambience are rarely found. The food is very tasty and the service is warm and welcoming. We had a great evening. Absolutely recommended!
I have been here several times and again for breakfast today. It is as always all very delicious and freshly prepared, the service fantastic and the ambience unique. Thanks to the entire team
