the restuarant is rustic to look inside, where they can have a beer at the bar or to sit a table and enjoy a beautiful eating in style of Germany. the staff was pleasant, the beer was good and the eating was plentiful. when I'm back...Hall, I'm gonna come back here. View all feedback.
What Matthias Kunze doesn't like about Zum groben Gottlieb:
in the midst of the old town you sit here well and in the shade at hot days.price performance ok.To the dressing: meat was very good, rusty well inlaid. The bratkartoffeln were not enough fried, they swoop in the fat.It also took a very long time between ordering and serving the food. Hyggelig stemning. solide og velsmagende portioner. det tog dog lidt lang tid at få maden, men så nåede man også...More
The service was very nice, it is almost familiary to eat, it is grounded with reasonable price. some might be braver, but I still like the gas house, it's cozy.
On the search for a local in hall we are finally in the 'groben gottlieb', also due to the positive reviews.I can't share the impression.I think there is no point in which I can recommend this restaurant.I have ordered a carving like art with croquettes and exfoliates:The carving was normal but badly seasoned; the croquettes (maybe 4 pieces)! swoop in a taste-neutral brown sauce (probably finished) and in proportion to it a huge mountain is harvested, but without everything: no butter, no salt.My guide has got a different dish than she had ordered, but accepted this. it was more expensive in the map than you ordered, but then it got it for the price of the cheaper. The dish was a little bit of bratkartoffeln, sweet, sose and pork fillet. there was no spicy, the bratkartoffeln swam in the same andefinable brown sauce and the pork fillet strips were dry. That came the staff: first of all the fauxpas with the wrong ordering, well that was corrected and accepted. Then came that the staff (the cook and the chefin) during their work with guests have paid some short
Cosy-hallesche's "eat-and-good-local" with hearty eating and well-maintained beer; therefore in the evening at times space not!
Therefore a table reservation is recommended. the dining room is original, the eating original and tasty. the wetin maintains the old gastronomy tradition from the greendertagens of the local and is "a weng grumpy" as you would say in the south...I still liked it;-)
