We hadn't even taken off our jackets when the waitress was already taking ou... read more Since we had a reservation, it was immediately free when we entered the restaurant. We hadn't even taken off our jackets when the waitress was already taking our drink order. Regarding the drinks, the waitress was otherwise very attentive. The food was hot and cooked through. Unfortunately, it was otherwise very bland and extremely small for the price. We had to cook something at home afterward. I don't go out to eat for that... We also believe that good service includes not involving customers in the service. As a customer, I want to be served, not have every plate passed around and be interrupted during my conversation. Good service also includes leaving empty plates on the table until the last person has finished eating to avoid creating a commotion. As it stands, it seems to us as if the restaurant has run out of clean plates. There are definitely some areas that need improvement!

Around Christmas time, the restaurant is often booked months in advance for Christmas parties. Ours took place at lunchtime, and the dishes we chose, from venison goulash and braised ox cheeks to Käsespätzle (cheese spaetzle) and Dompfaffschnitzel (a type of schnitzel), were very well received. The dishes were also attractively presented. We felt completely at ease and were very satisfied.

The food was... read more A truly lovely little restaurant in the heart of Halle! The ambiance is cozy and inviting, and the staff are exceptionally friendly and attentive. The food was fresh, lovingly prepared, and absolutely delighted us. We felt completely at home and would love to return.
