If you want a great pub experience, there are so many other possibilities for the interior of halifax. I honestly don't know how they're still there, except the affirmation that they are the oldest registered pub in halifax (or something to this effect.) we came here... here at 18 o'clock on Friday and asked for half apple beer... the waiter was really put off by this request and suggested we buy a beer, a apple wine, get and extra cup and mix it yourself? it is a common drink in my circles, and they would simply have one person a more likely and the other a beer accused. the bartender was obviously more experienced with asking because the waiter came back with what we asked. that put me down. the waitress was very friendly, but the ovens were broken so we couldn't arrange what we wanted. we have tweeper rings and are gone. the pub is small, sticky and not worth it.

That was my first visit to this facility. the service and eating were excellent and they have a reasonable selection of drinks. this place is historical and has a great story about the names.

Here a bite before the hockey game near scotia bank centre. we ordered chicken fingerries and afteros. eating was delicious - some of the best finger I had ever baked in the house. service was also good.

Great little spot to slip into and have a pint of beer. Staff was fast and friendly, beers went down well. Live music made the evening.

I had never been to the East before and the staff at this restaurant made me feel incredibly welcome and were extremely friendly. Special thanks to Adrian and Quentin for being fantastic staff members!!! They made me want to return. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was relaxed and friendly. I absolutely adore this place! If you're in Halifax, make sure to stop by this pub for a pint and some food. Don't miss out on this gem!

I just want to give a big shout out to The Split Crow for an amazing NYE! The staff were so professional and attentive! Beautiful seafood appetizers were brought to us in abundance! The whole experience was just so great! Of course Christine and Blake killed it! Kudos again to The Split Crow for booking them in the first place!

The atmosphere at the split crow pub is phenomenal and the history of it being the oldest pub in Halifax is also cool!

As a 21 year old I have second hand embarrassment of the bouncer who asked me for my ID, health card, university student ID AND MY INSTAGRAM PAGE. This is definitely a bit much, especially where all my friends didn’t get QUADRUPLE ID’d. Also kind of feel disgusted because I had to show the bouncer (a grown at least 30 year old man) my instagram account. Do better Split Crow, I won’t back!

Friendly efficient service, however the meal needs some refinement. Few gluten free options. Need more menu options and better prep for meals. Music began at 7:30 and the music was enjoyable.

One guest wandered around the whole time we were there maskless and was hugging the bouncer and waiters with nobody trying to enforce the mask mandate. It seemed like a few times he was asked to wear his mask and he laughed and half put one on in jest. We asked our waiter who he was and why he didn 't need to wear one and he said they give a lot of leeway and if everyone is double vaaxed why do we need masks. Not the point when it 's the law currently and shouldn 't be up to the staff to decide who needs to wear one and who doesn 't. Won 't be back anytime soon.

Such a cute spot !!!! Found incidentally on my trip but had already heard great things . Vibing little area. Visited in the day but heard it’s just as great at night. Old world pub. Nice sunny patio with good people watching. Staff 10000% I had the razz voddy the Halifax sea breeze cocktails. Yummy for a summer day. Then when in Halifax. Have to try the donair. Had the donair bites. Super salty. But still delicious. What a nice spin on a classic. Came by recommendation and would for sure pass it on! Price per person: $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
