My daughter's medium-rare steak was overcooked to well done, except for a small portion in the center. The second steak we received was only slightly better. I'm curious about the type and cut of meat you use because, having worked in the restaurant industry, I couldn't identify it. My wife's simple steak and cheese lacked flavor, so she ended up eating only half of it since we were all quite hungry. In conclusion, this establishment really needs to reassess its operations. Our waitress seemed oblivious to the fact that I still needed a spoon. They should hire a proper cook because the person in the kitchen does not deserve the title of chef. If this is what Garfields calls sweet tea, it should be permanently removed from the menu, and the owner needs to be educated on what sweet tea should really taste like. Unfortunately, my family and I will not be returning to Garfields. It's a shame because they have a great location, the atmosphere was decent, the service was fast, the staff were pleasant, and the prices were reasonable. Overall, though, the experience was just unprofessional.
The server, Kelis, was fantastic and went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. It was my wife's birthday, and she arranged for the staff to sing "Happy Birthday." I will definitely be returning!
I ordered fish and chips. I asked three servers for sauce to go with it, but none of them brought it to me. Not a single one asked if we wanted our drinks refilled.
Chris waited on us and provided excellent service. Food/Happy Hour specials are great in this bad economy we love to save money when we can. Actual food was delicious, we eat at Garfield's at least once a week. I recommend this place to anyone who would like to have a nice meal at reasonable prices.
