I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The view from the beer garden is absolutely fantastic. The food we enjoyed when we arrived was phenomenal! The cauliflower cheese and broccoli, along with the Sunday roast, were among the best I've ever had. The broccoli and cauliflower soup was simply divine. View all feedback.
Here for lunch on our high-time day. quiet on the first but very peaceful and welcoming, then many people arrived and the atmosphere lived. beautiful fire and a beautiful Christmas tree. the food was really good I had the venison 'special' really tender, a rich engraving and perfectly steamed cauliflower, red cauliflower and butter mash. he had fish and chips. we will certainly return, the garden looked very welcoming, even in the late December puzzle!
Called in today for Sunday lunch for my dads birthday. Absolutely lovely little pub. A nice warm welcome and staff were great nice and pleasant. In my opinion the food was ok but well over priced. Not enough veg with main meals. Had one small dish with one floret of cauliflower and one floret of broccoli between 4 people. OVERALL MY OPINION IS THAT THE WINDMILL IS NICE BUT CERTAINLY NOT VALUE FOR MONEY.

An absolutely beautiful place to eat, such freindly staff, a roaring fire and a gorgeous Sunday roast....the food was wonderful as always. The surrounding are lovely, clean and a wonderful country pub dining experience....I cannot rate it enough... thankyou to all at the Windmill.
Lovely meal. Best cooked medium done steak lve had for ages ! Home aga baked ham was super. Good drinks too, and very friendly staff.
