Caffé Mezza Luna - Half Moon Bay

Caffe Mezzaluna is our favorite spot for an afternoon coffee for me and hot tea for my wife whenever we find ourselves in Half Moon Bay. This charming Italian-style café is a sister establishment to the highly praised restaurant Mezza Luna, just a few blocks away. I enjoy a strong black coffee, and theirs is consistently freshly brewed. The gelato is authentic and creamy, while the handcrafted pastries are decadently indulgent. The service is always quick, efficient, and friendly. This isn’t just a place for a quick coffee; the extensive menu features everything from sandwiches, paninis, and pizzas to salads, omelets, pancakes, and crepes. Look for the standalone building located in front of the mostly quiet Harbor Village shopping center on Capistrano Rd. and Hwy 1 in Princeton-by-the-Sea. There's ample parking in the adjacent lot. We typically find seating on the patio, but there are also a few well-spaced tables inside.

This place is a decent choice, but it's geared more towards tourists, much like everything else in the area. If you're seeking healthy options, you might be disappointed, as there aren't many available.

Upon stepping inside, you are greeted by the wonderful scent of fresh pastries and coffee. It’s an ideal place to enjoy a cup of joe on a foggy morning at Half Moon Bay. They also serve gelato, which is perfect for a warm afternoon at the beach.

Very good and recommendable breakfast restaurant. Great selection of options and good tasting coffee, European standard. Prices are very fair and appropriate.

This is a neat little café located among some truly awesome scenery, dining, and shopping in Half Moon Bay. I recommend you visit this place after indulging in some local Peruvian cuisine or a beer or two at the nearby brewery. This place has greatcoffee, ample seating indoor and outdoor, and fairly quick service. It can get a bit crowded and long lines sometimes. They havedesserts, coffee, Alcoholic drinks, and other eating. They have restrooms that are available to customers as well. Recommendedif you're in the area and looking for coffee or a treat. Although it's one of the only options in the immediate area, they'rewell run and the items are good.
