The clam chowder is absolutely AMAZING!!! Especially in a bread bowl. ?. The calamari was also fantastic. Definitely the best I’ve had so! Delicious. An absolute must for any seafood lovers! View all feedback.
What Dustin Lee doesn't like about Barbara's Fishtrap:
The service was pretty terrible. After ten minutes plus of waiting for the bill, the employee specifically encouraged us to tip. I would not recommend going here. Also, they overbread certain fried items. Parking: We had to park the equivalent of three blocks away. View all feedback.
Decent food; overpriced. Had the Petrole Sol Special. Meh. Very crowded on the weekends right when it opens for dinner at 4:45 PM. Automatic 18% gratuity added for decent service. Would not return.

Came on a Friday at 5:30pm and initially the wait for a table for two people was 40 minutes but we were seating just 20 minutes later (FYI, Google Popular Times said there would be hardly a wait). We ordered: 1. Fried artichokes large pieces of whole artichokes covered with a delicate fried batter served with ranch dressing. They were delicious but be careful, some are juicy so they could squirt hot juice. 2. Shrimp louie salad generous portion of large bay shrimp. I wasn 't crazy about the thousand island dressing because it was heavy on the dijon mustard. 3. fish and calamari with fries I chose fried fish and it was delicious. Fries are steak fries and they were fried perfectly (i.e., no soggy fry in the bunch). It 's not cheap but I 'd definitely go back. The waitstaff was constantly busy so if you want something you have to flag them down...they won 't come by to check to see if you need another glass of wine or a soda refill. It 's a very casual eatery with a simple menu. Parking: There is a free parking lot directly across the street from Barbara 's Fishtrap so don 't do what I did which is drive all the way to the end of the street and walk (unless you want to burn a few calories).
Very good food and not much wait time mid-afternoon. Loved the Mini-Fish Trap Combo.
