Asian Kings Kitchen - Half Moon Bay

The food was excellent and tasted fresh, with generous portions at reasonable prices. The service was friendly, and we were able to share a bit of everything. We had enough leftovers to take home. We’ll definitely come back, even all the way from San Francisco!

It was an alright experience. They had a party going on, but they still took the time to attend to us right away.

This restaurant should focus on their own family meals instead of serving others. The sweet and sour dish was overcooked, bland, and dry, accompanied by a tasteless sauce. The curry was prepared so poorly that I couldn't help but shake my head in disbelief; it consisted of a small piece of curry submerged in a tasteless, thick slurry with some vegetables. The shrimp fried rice was decent, but it's frustrating when a menu lacks details on the dishes. Overall, I feel this family-run restaurant has carved out a niche in an area that doesn't offer much in the way of Chinese cuisine. However, I know I can find much better Chinese food elsewhere, and they would be better off heading to San Francisco, San Mateo, or another location for quality Chinese dining.

The food combo is a good thing. I was surprised by the service. I understand why they have a good assessment.

I had the a couple of lunch dishes, mongolian beef and a crispy pork dish. The service was fast, the price fair and they packed the food so the crispy pork dish would stay crispy and not get soggy. I was impressed.
