Mahalo nui! Outstanding every visit and our favorite local restaurant. The grilled veg board is our new fav starter, and we always follow with the savory mussels and frites. The whole opakapaka was stunning, absolutely scrumptious, and generous enough for 2 couples. Wine pairings recommended by the staff, perfectly matched our courses. Bravo Mana Pua! AVOID THIS PLACE! If I could give this place 0 stars, we would. We went here, sat at the bar for “quick” service only for the service to be horrendous and for the food to be about an 50 min wait long. We understand that it can be understaffed and backed up but at least warn us our food will take a while. We had an event so we said that it’s best we left and paid and once the food came out the waitress gave us a nasty... View all feedback.
GF options YES! Would always go to the Acai Bowl next door. Noticed peeps eating outside and the food looked great! They always have fresh baked goods with a GF on the menu. Today topped it! There was a GF cake PLUS a vegan GF cupcake! Both were onolicious! Had the Madame Pele with the GF toast option awesome! Ordered a black coffee which was very tasty. Had a GF cake at a wedding prior which led me there to order a special GF low sugar cake for 12 people. Everyone loved it and no one knew they were eating GF! some people have a stigma once you mention GF. Will be there this Friday to try lunch and their wine. Will definitely return for the GF option of Flatbread. Can't wait to try the Pear Brie. Great Service.
The outrigger sandwich was absolutely delicious. It was definitely hearty and filling. There were many different ingredients in this sandwich that complemented each other. All the sandwiches comes with a bag of chips, in which we got a small bag of Muai Onion Hawaiian chips, as well as a small whole pickle. Even though the sandwiches are $15.5 tax, I personally believe it is worth the price. My only critique is the amount of staff preparing and serving the food. There was only one woman working the register, preparing ALL the food (and there was a table of 6 waiting for their food), as well as serving. Despite this, she still maintained a smile and a positive attitude. Truly amazing.
So close yet so far away. We 've been here twice now just to be sure we didn 't get it wrong. First the good the food is amazing for the most part. We 've had a few of the flatbreads, sandwiches and some of the baked goods. It is all amongst the best food on the north shore. The prices are also fair (esp for the north shore) but so are the portions... Keep that in mind and maybe order extra so you don 't leave hungry. Opportunities for improvement there 's almost no seating in the place. What seating there is seems to be mostly folks who are day drinking wine so they 'park ' at the limited seating for extended periods. Combine this with the fact that the service is slow so you 're likely to stand around or hang out in a corner waiting for your eats. They do have some amazing surf pics on the wall (of the Eddie) which helps but only so far. The decor is nice but the vibe seems to be that if you 're a friend of the firm, you get top notch service. Anyone else and the staff seems to look at you like 'meh is that a customer or something? ' and then they go back to doing the dishes while you look on wondering what just happened. Between the day drinking lounge, the limited seating it 's all a bit meh. So food 5 stars. Service 1 star. So so much potential. With a few tweaks this place could be great. Also been here with and without kids... It 's def not kid friendly. We 'll give it another try because the food is worth it but might be best to call ahead and do take out vs attempting an eat in. Parking: Park behind the building
Awesome food and staff! We have lived on the island for years and finally tried this spot. Hands down one of the best places to eat in Haleiwa. Great big sandwiches, yummy cupcakes and great lattes!
Had a wonderful lunch. Went back for a couple of bottles of wine after their shipment arrived. Also, their killer chocolate chip macadamia nut cookies that they make in their shop.Parking: I was lucky and found parking in the lot behind the store when I went. It is a small lot. But it seemed like people were coming and going all the time. The entrance/exit is only 1 lane wide.
