Allerdings fehlt... read more Wir besuchten die Olive zum Abendessen, es ist nur ab 18.00 Uhr geöffnet. Das Restaurant hat ein angenehmes Ambiente und freundliche Bedienung. Allerdings fehlt es manchmal an der Übersicht. Das Essen ist ausgezeichnet, wenn auch die Auswahl nicht sehr groß ist. Man findet auf jeden fall etwas. Für uns gab es Kap-Seehecht sowie eine Tapasplatte. Beides von hervorragender Qualität. Auch der von uns gewählte spanische Tempranillo war ausgezeichnet. Wir können die Olive nur weiterempfehlen.

Drinnen ist es sehr schön und recht gemütlich. Der Service ist hervorragend. Als Goodie gab es lecker Oliven und Brot vorab. Das Essen war sehr gut. Preise sind eher gehoben. Wir waren recht zufrieden.1 Flasche Wasser, 1x Knoblauchbrot, und Nudeln mit Curryhühnchen = 25€

First, we were very rudely informed that we were late, but we weren't; the time had been recorded incorrectly in the restaurant. Then we were supposed to be given a table for two because the number of people hadn't been recorded either. Overall, the service was consistently passive-aggressive. The food tasted okay, but €34 for two strips of lamb fillet with potatoes and vegetables was far too expensive. We eat out often, even for fine dining, but unfortunately, that wasn't the case here. We would have liked to sit outside in the current great weather, but the outdoor area was closed. When we wanted to pay, the server claimed she couldn't change seats. I like to tip, and even generously, when it's convenient. But trying to force a tip with an excuse like that is pretty cheeky. I know for sure we won't be seeing this restaurant again.

The Mediterranean schnitzel was a delight, as was the ravioli filled with fig and apricot jam! The menu offers an extremely creative selection with just the right amount of alternatives. The service is simply VERY good. The prices are moderate. This also applies to the manageable, good wine selection! A quick tip: Corn kernels don't match the high quality of the delicious side salad. The portions are generous. Conclusion: Probably the best in Halberstadt and a clear recommendation!
