I stopped by this restaurant yesterday while visiting the area. Unfortunately, I was met with the most unfriendly and rude bartender I have ever encountered in a country pub. It appeared to be too much trouble for them to serve us the hot drinks we ordered. Needless to say, we will not be coming back and will be sharing our experience of the awful service and unfriendly staff. Cost per person: £1-10 Service: 1 star. View all feedback.

My husband and I were visiting the Herstmonceux area for a weekend and enjoyed this cozy pub for dinner. They have a nice beer garden too. The food was good, reasonably priced, and the service was friendly and attentive. Vegetarian options: The menu had a selection of burgers and other meals, some of which were vegetarian and seafood options. Parking: There is a parking lot for patrons. It's not large but we were able to park there with no problem. Price per person: £20–30 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

This restaurant is top-notch in every category. The food, service, and atmosphere all receive a perfect score of 5. The only downside is that finding parking can be a bit challenging.
