There is no better Chinese Food in this area...fresh, generous portions and reasonable prices. Sometimes, the wait may be long as they are very busy, but it's well worth waiting for. Best to call early in the day, or even the day ahead to order take out! View all feedback.
What Sandra Vitali doesn't like about Rainbow Restaurant:
This restaurant calls itself a Chinese restaurant and all they serve is make believe Chinese food. Having been to many Chinese restaurants around the world including in China this does not qualify as good food. People that think this place is good have lost their...taste buds. The cook does not like when food is returned because of bad quality and horrible taste even the chicken fried rice is dry with a taste of burn... View all feedback.
Delicious meals, and Great presentation. Keeps you wanting more! Since situated right beside the local movie theatre, it's often the one-stop meal before going to the show. Also situated right in downtown New Liskeard, so generally a stop-off for lunch as well. As well, we had our New Year's Day dinner here as it was one of the only place open at that time. So glad we did.
My husband and I shared the Thai meal for 2 and we enjoyed it. vegetables were crunchy as needed and meat (a chicken dish and another beef) was delicious and tender. This is our second visit and we will return to it during our next year in the north of the ontario.

I must admit, I'm a creature of habit and order the same three or four meal choices every time so maybe I'm not the person to do this....but the ones I always order are excellent. I love love the Singapore noodles as well as the Thai style crispy mango chicken, the spicy peanut chicken and the Almond Soo Guy (chicken). The place is nothing special to look at and is casual in my opinion, it's about the food. I must admit the cooks seem to change sometimes and it is not a 100% consistent but I'm usually happy.
For a small town like New Liskeard I would rank this a 10. It's clean friendly the food is very very good. We come here if we want really good Asian food. It's not the usual Fried rice and Chicken ball banquet style restaurant. I had almost everything on the menu and I liked it. Never had an issue since it opened. A must go if your in Liskeard.
