My friends and I, along with my dog, visited this restaurant on a sunny Sunday. We were able to get a table outside under the shady trees where we enjoyed watching the passersby. The menu had a good variety of options at affordable prices. The server was very friendly and accommodating, and the food was delicious. Overall, it was a delightful experience and we will definitely be coming back.

I went to this restaurant for a late lunch with my 16-year-old daughter. It is a small cafe with a nice amount of outdoor seating. We chose a table on a vine-covered verandah that provided a cool breeze. The tables closer to the main road were set up in a way that made customers feel secluded from pedestrians, creating a relaxed atmosphere. We were pleasantly surprised to receive table service at this cozy little cafe. The menu offered a variety of hot and cold drinks, including unique options like matcha, beetroot, and turmeric lattes. I tried the matcha latte and it was one of the best I've had. The food was also delicious. My veggie burger had a generous amount of mushrooms, which made it stand out, along with a good portion of haloumi, spinach, and avocado. The dressing added a nice flavor. My daughter enjoyed her peri-peri chicken burger as well. Both dishes were presented in a modern yet rustic style on wooden boards, with crispy chips served in small mesh containers on the side. The pricing was reasonable, especially for Hahndorf, and the owner and staff were very friendly and down to earth. We had a great experience and would definitely come back to Cafe 1839. Highly recommended.

Food was gasss, highly recommend. Burger and salad were both amazing. Gotta grab some food from here if your in harndorf. Top tier service too.
