We want to experie... read more We came into Hagerstown to get some lunch and fuel before completing our journey to DC to see the Nationals. We don't like chain restaurants. We want to experience the local businesses and support them. We are glad we did. Rik's is unassuming in a strip mall development. When you walk inside it is no longer a strip mall restaurant. The mellow light, groovy art, and 90's rock music playing made us hopeful. The menu was limited. Good! Focus is on the dish, not variations. I got the bison burger with jalapeno bacon aioli and homemade chips My wife got a Cobb salad with chicken. Both dishes were delicious. Our server was kind and attentive to our needs. There was a joyous celebration in the pantry as one of the staff learned she was expecting. There was a family atmosphere all around the place. There were regulars seated at the bar socializing with the staff. It was awesome to see. We even got the pleasure of meeting Rik!!! If you made it this far in my review. Do Not Go To a Chain!!!! McDonald's is awful!!! Go to Rik's cafe!

Service was great and good... read more My Buratta salad was the most delicious salad I've had in a long time! We were a party of four, and all of the meals were succulent! Service was great and good conversation with the owner as he stopped by our table. Highly recommend!

We stopped in to grab lunch in the middle... read more Don’t let the mirrored store front or the nondescript strip mall stop you from enjoying a delicious meal at Riks Cafe. We stopped in to grab lunch in the middle of a road trip. We ordered the Jerk Chicken sandwich with fries and the buffalo chicken wrap with sweet potato fries. Everything was delicious (thought the Buffalo wrap was definitely on the spicer side). Our waitress was friendly and attentive. The restaurant was almost full on a Sunday afternoon.
