China King - Hagerstown

This places has no understanding of allergies and the seriousness. I am allergic to shellfish. But not to the point where I can't eat at restaurants that serve these options. I ordered two lunch meals and two PORK egg rolls. My receipt says pork egg rolls. But why is it that I came home and ate half my egg roll to find they are both shrimp. When I called the store to make sure they understood how serious this is and that some people can die. Both ladies could only offer me an apology. So now I am stuck with my itchy skin, itchy throat, and upset stomach because of this. I hope this review will help this places take this way more serious. If my allergy was way worse you could have killed me. You didn't but you did leave me very uncomfortable for a long day ahead. I will never eat here again and if you have any allergy I wouldn't either.

The chicken and broccoli is so good! I'm not going to lie it's better than all the Chinese places in Hagerstown! And it's only about $10 with an egg roll. I get mine spicy in brown sauce, they use fresh broccoli that still has crisp to it and doesn't get all mushy into the sauce! The sauce is rich and just the right amount of thick so it glazes and coats the chicken and broccoli perfectly! Definitely not like the other restaurants who sauces are soupy, tasteless or have a weird consistency. My fiancé had the sesame chicken and as you see there's no pic, this man was already swallowing the whole plate before I was able to take a picture of his! He loved it though and it's now his new fav at china king. I tried a piece of sesame chicken and it was so fire! This place definitely stepped it up!

I had a real Bad delivery experience last night 03/10/24. I did my order at 7:08 pm and the Driver showed up Until 9:15 pm.I called back more than 2 times asking for my food and the answer was we can’t reach the Driver. Waiting more than 2 hours and when the driver showed up asking for payment plus tip. Unbelievable BAD BAD Service

This used to be my favorite place to order Chinese. The last two times I have ordered it has really gone down in quality. My child says the sweet n sour chicken tastes yucky and she won't even eat it. The egg rolls are overcooked. The menu when ordering online shows your entrées coming with white rice but you are forced to choose something different that costs extra money or you can't add it to your cart. Think I will find another place to order from.

Excellent prices and huge amounts of food. The Lo mein is so delicious (any of them)and hearty chunks of chicken in the Orange and General Tso chicken. Steamed rice is always steamed to perfection. I’ve been eating here quite a few years now and always pleased with the food experience.
