The wait was a little long, given...that we had reservations, but the wait was worth it. The tomato soup was hot, very tasty, obviously housemade and not canned. The salads were fresh and the bread was a specialty – served with spiced goose fat, which gave real flavor to the bread and a hint of what was to come. The proprietor, Herr Overkamp, personally brings to the table and carves each goose, and watching him is an experience in and of itself. Each bird is perfectly done, and one can choose one of the two choices – breast or leg and thigh – it’s all dark meat anyway, so take your pick. The goose is served with red cabbage, a stuffed apple, and potato dumplings, and lots of gravy. Nothing was other than wonderful. It’s certainly a place to which I would like to return

Th... read more A place for true connoisseurs! I've been to the Overkamp restaurant several times – both for conferences and privately – and I've been impressed every time. The kitchen offers culinary masterpieces that impress not only in terms of taste but also in appearance. I'd especially like to highlight the service: warm, professional, and always attentive.

The price-performanc... read more I feel compelled to offer my best opinion of Haus Overkamp after 10 years. Full marks for the exceptionally friendly and competent service. The price-performance ratio is consistently excellent. It 's simply a pleasure to be pampered there with local delicacies (from appetizers and main courses to exquisite desserts and cakes), all skillfully presented. The service has always been attentive but never intrusive. Comparing this exceptionally high-end restaurant to a canteen is completely incomprehensible to me. I also notice that the parking lot is occasionally quite full. However, this only speaks to the outstanding quality and superb service. Many guests are served in several rooms, so it never feels uncomfortably crowded and has nothing to do with mass processing. Everything is wonderfully organized. No matter the size of the group, the dishes are always served almost simultaneously. This organizational feat never fails to impress me. I still give a big thumbs up to this superbly run family business, now more than ever! I always enjoy visiting the Gasthaus Overkamp, where I experience warmth, quality, and genuine hospitality. I gladly give it 10 out of 5 stars
