Reviews summary
Leaf, once a beloved staple in Haddonfield for its casual vegan fare, has recently undergone a significant transformation. Aiming for a more upscale dining experience, the restaurant introduced a revised menu and adjusted portions, sparking mixed reactions among loyal patrons. While some menu items, like new starters, received praise, many regulars lament the loss of favorites and the rising prices for smaller servings. Despite the changes, Leaf still impresses with its vibrant ambiance and dedicated staff, making it a worthwhile visit for those seeking innovative vegan cuisine—though the growing pains are evident, leaving some former fans feeling disappointed.
Was R at Leaf a mag?
This was my first time dining at a vegan restaurant, and I was truly impressed! The food was amazing, and I thought the Brussels sprouts were absolutely extraordinary. View all feedback.
What Charlie P dislikes about Leaf:
I used to visit Leaf regularly when they offered comfort food, but I hadn't been back until recently out of curiosity. Unfortunately, I wasn't impressed. I really wish they'd bring back their nachos, mac and cheese, and spinach and artichoke dip. It's a shame. View all feedback.

Excellent vegan dinners and apps. Highly trained staff. Our party of 16 was treated wonderful!
I was a regular at Leaf up until the recent menu and opening hours changed. 2020 had done most of everyone for the worst, and Leaf seemed to have been in a few months of transition around the spring. We patiently waited for their operation to be sorted out and tried to reach them to no avail in the early days of the pandemic, simply because we loved the place and wanted to make sure we do our part in supporting it. When we finally visited during a time they were open, the waitress mentioned that the recent changes were not at all due to Covid, but rather a branding overhaul the chef sought to achieve, with the goal being making the place feel more upscale. We didn't quite understand it because we knew the place had already developed a loyal following with the casual food but ok.The new menu entrees are good but not amazing (their old casual entrees, however, were so incredible which is why people kept coming back. It was the high-end version for the type of food that it was, in my opinion), and some of the old items were kept but in smaller sizes which I'm grateful for. They added new starters that are excellent and again straightens the point about the more casual food being their strong point. I do still eat there but not nearly as often as I used to. I wish Leaf the best, and hope these changes did only good to their business. I will keep ordering occasionally.
This place is awesome! Highly recommend for anyone looking for a high end really good vegan dinner!
HIGHLY RECOMMEND! They were about to close but still took me! Their mango drink was sweet and very refreshing! Their staff is super sweet and accommodating! They really know the menu and their recommendations were really delicious! The vibe and atmosphere is really chill! Can’t wait to come back! Thank you for making eating vegan easy!

Absolutely outstanding Vegan Restaurant.Melissa and her crew did a fabulous job with our Birthday party of 17. Food was out of this world.

The restaurant offers exquisite homemade vegan cuisine that is both delicious and beautifully presented. They did an excellent job accommodating our party of 15!
We absolutely adore Leaf! That really says it all, but let me share more about their delicious offerings. The buttery, crispy spinach and Buffalo cauliflower are simply irresistible—I can't seem to get enough of them. Then there are the spicy sweet Dan Dan noodles paired with crispy mushrooms; everything is fantastic, so you can't make a bad choice here. Our server was exceptional, as always, and we also had the pleasure of meeting the chef, who is the caretaker of those incredible plants.
I have visited Leaf several times over the past couple of years. My first experience was a brunch with friends, where I tried the buffalo cauliflower bites, and I’ve ordered them every time since. The outdoor seating is lovely in the warmer months. However, I’ve noticed that the prices have risen quite a bit over the years. I’ve sampled nearly everything on the menu, and I’ve never enjoyed vegan food this much before. Leaf has truly changed my view on vegan cuisine. I highly recommend visiting if you're in Haddonfield.

The ravioli was tasty and the tiramisu was decent, but overall, nothing stood out as remarkable. The portions were quite small, and the prices were steep considering what you get.
The food was simply average. I rated it poorly mainly because the Dan Dan noodles were flavorless, and the portion I got for $18 was quite disappointing. The flatbread was decent, and the cauliflower bites were probably the standout dish on the menu, but they were basically just fried cauliflower.
