After a long day of cleaning and preparing to return the keys to our old house after two years, we were in desperate need of a glass of wine and a beer. We snagged a table inside to refuel. The Bloody Marys are build-your-own and quite reasonable at £5 each, with the brunch menu available until 4 PM. Ash opted for a quinoa and tahini salad topped with halloumi, while I stuck with an old favorite.

I was invited to this spot by a local from Hackney during my first visit to the Broadway markets. The lively atmosphere makes it a great place to enjoy breakfast and seamlessly transition into drinks, whether it be wine or beer, and linger all afternoon. We indulged in a hearty breakfast that felt like a baptism by deliciousness. While nothing was extraordinary, the breakfast selection was quite solid and delivered exactly what was promised. The avocado toast was delightful, topped with a poached egg and some crispy speck, served on my favorite bread. The Bloody Marys looked amazing, with a vibrant chili adorning the rim of the glass. They even have a DIY Bloody Mary bar, allowing guests to make it as spicy and flavorful as they desire. Overall, the experience was enjoyable...

I visited this restaurant on a Friday night, and it was the worst party in all of London. They charged £20 for entry, even though the music was at its lowest volume. I would not recommend this place unless you're specifically looking to listen to Bollywood music, which is all they seem to play.

It seems to be some places they like immediately without knowing why. strata were such a place. it is the sister location of the book club and has covered this type of library feel about it. long tables in the middle and smaller around the edge are all overlaid by huge white lamps. we were only there for drinks, but we saw the eating of other people and it looked great. it was also not too busy for a Friday night, which means we got a table and have a catcher without feeling cramped and screaming. we stayed for about an hour and had two cocktails, although the last had to be pulled down quite quickly. we ordered at the bar, but the drinks...read more

Passed this a few times and have been meaning to try out for brunch for a while. Finally got the chance last weekend. It's a cool relaxed venue. They have a schedule of live music later in the evenings too. Not sure if they take bookings or not but we were advised it should be fine to show up as a group of six on a Sunday afternoon and was no problem. Menu is not that extensive but the few things we tried were pretty good. I shared the avodado on sourdough and devilled mushrooms on sourdough. Both came with the option of poached egg and/or bacon.
