In my opinion, this is one of the best markets in London! I love it because it is close to my place and they have a great selection of food and other products. The surrounding area also has some really cool bookstores, shops, and cafes that I highly recommend visiting. View all feedback.
What LondonDocklander doesn't like about Lucky Chip Netil Market:
Today I had my first Lucky Chip burger and it won't be the last. This is a tasty burger! The chips were amazing and the real wit cheese burger was super juicy and just the right amount of messy. I don't think most burgers travel well, so forget about Uber or Deliveroo and visit Netil Market. There are some great independent brands that appreciate your custom and God knows they need all the support they can get right... View all feedback.
After hearing that they have the best burger in town on a website, I had to go and try it out for myself. I have to admit, I was quite disappointed. First off, the tables provided (only two) were very dirty. I understand that Netil Market has a rustic and trendy environment, but that doesn't mean it has to be dirty. Second, the burger was very small and if you're really hungry, you have to order two. Thirdly, and worst of all, it was extremely greasy. I understand that a burger needs a bit of fat for flavor, but this one was way too greasy, making the whole thing shine with oil. The chips also had their issues, as they were not dry and crisp but rather soft and oily. Additionally, there were only two drink options available - coke (regular or diet) and water. I didn't try the water, but the coke was served at almost room temperature. Coke should be served cold! Overall, despite the friendly staff, the restaurant does not live up to its title of having the best burger in town. Personally, I will not be returning. Cheers.
Some nasty reviews here (don't get it). Have had burgers here countless times through Deliveroo and for dinner. I'm a fussy burger eater but the burgers here are the best in Dalston in my opinion. The music/ sound system is great as are the staff. Such a fun place, with a full bar and great wine list. Chilli cheese fries are emotional. Can be a bit hectic, but see it as a lively bar that also serves food and you're laughing.
The restaurant did not respond to my feedback after spending 48£ on Uber Eats. The wings were overcooked, the portion of chips was small and poorly seasoned, and the burger meat had bones in it. I was disappointed with the lack of response from the restaurant. I do not recommend ordering from there.
Unfortunately I ate food from lucky chip just before Christmas and it gave me and my boyfriend food poisoning, ruining the Christmas period. Never eat here unless you hate Christmas and enjoy being ill.
The venue was booked for a friends birthday. We booked a booth for a group of ten to have dinner and drinks. After calling several times to confirm our reservation and having being told everything was sorted we arrived to a table that seated only 4 with no other table available. We spoke to a member of staff and was told there was nothing they could do as all the other tables were pre-booked and even the manager told us that some of us would just have to stand and most people stand and eat at their venue. I thought this was ridiculous due to the fact they were serving burgers and other diner style foods. We were also limited to the selection of drinks we were able to purchase in the room we were in and were told we had to go downstairs if we wanted something specific. The food was very average and the room was so cold i kept my coat on all night.
