The food was below average. The chicken was dry and taste old. The spaghetti gave can food food. I never tasted something so bad Food: 1
Never ever would I think there would be a Filipino restaurant in this location. In the 13 years I've lived in Hackensack, I never even knew there was a store front in this building... thank you, google guides, whoever entered the restaurant details. We ordered: Bangus Belly (Milkfish) delicious garlicky tender fish Beef Salpicao tender beef and flavorful Garlic Rice garlicky goodness Mango Smoothie little chunks of mango, and I really like that it's not super sweet. It's more natural Definitely want to try other items on the menu! The atmosphere is strange. There is a grocery store past the 6 7 tables near the entrance. There is a counter/big glass display case by the door, with just a few deserts. The counter you order from is the same as for people checking out their grocery. I would have thought since there were 2 counters, that 1 is for restaurant orders and the other for the groceries. We were there for late lunch early dinner, so there weren't many people, but I would imagine evening rush hour would be chaos. Service was meh, no one smiled at us, not much help with explaining the dishes since we are not Filipino. We got by because we've been to other Filipino restaurants, so we have some idea of what to order. But we will still go back to try other items! We'll just eat and go lol
Tapsilog, Longsilog, and Tosilog were all very good. The fried rice was also great. The service took a little while though, and the opening times don't match the ones on google. The shop opens at 10AM, but the restaurant opens at 11:30AM. Service: Dine in Meal type: Brunch
Very Good Sisig. Squid Sisig is my favorite. I call before going to Mama Finas. They have a lot of seats but if you go during peak lunch hour you will have to wait. I tell them our order ahead of time so we don’t have to wait. I took a picture of the menu so you can choose an order before calling. SARAP!! Traditional pork sisig is super crispy, like a bit too much. Because the crispiness dominates, can't really taste the meat. But seasoning wise it is good. Java rice is a little tangy, so goes well with the sisig because the rice balance the sisig, but I don't like the bell pepper taste in it. The tapsilog is okay. I like the garlic rice, beef and egg are standard. Apple juice is okay. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $20–30 Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3 Recommended dishes: Sizzling Sisig
