With so many restaurants in the city, that's probably the bigges... read more I've been working in Haarlem for around a year now and tend to visit Ignite about once a month. With so many restaurants in the city, that's probably the biggest compliment I can give. As strange as it sounds, I order exactly the same thing every time. Ironically, I can never remember what it's called, but it's a combination of steak and pasta. The steak is cooked beautifully, the pasta is rich, creamy and full of flavour, and the two work surprisingly well together. Every time I visit, I tell myself I'll try something different, and every time I end up ordering the same dish again. We usually have a couple of beers with our meal and always find the prices very reasonable. Haarlem can be quite an expensive city for dining out, but Ignite offers excellent value for money and is generally a little more affordable than many of the nearby restaurants. The staff are always friendly and welcoming. There's usually the same young waiter who recognises us and has a laugh about the fact that we order the same thing every visit. Service is consistently good, and they've always managed to find us a table. Good food, friendly staff, sensible prices, and a steak and pasta dish that keeps bringing me back. We'll definitely continue to visit whenever we're in Haarlem.

I liked the serv... read more For beginners we ordered Focaccia, which was delicious. Then we ordered a pizza that was pretty good. All ingredients and dough were excellent. I liked the service, everything came in the right order, and with a reasonable time in between, so that we could enjoy the appetizers, main dish and dessert well.
