The dessert was delicious without being overly sweet — perfectly balanced. You can truly feel the chef’s dedication and attention to detail in every dish. The restaurant wasn’t busy, and the atmosphere was calm and cozy — ideal for a peaceful evening. Highly recommended if you’re in Haarlem. Ik heb heerlijk gegeten bij Restaurant ROOD in Haarlem. Het dessert was erg lekker en niet te zoet — perfect in balans. Je merkt dat de chef veel aandacht besteedt aan elk gerecht. Het was niet druk en de sfeer was rustig en gezellig, ideaal voor een ontspannen avond. Zeker een aanrader als je in Haarlem bent. The explanation of the dishes at the table are genuine and straight to the point without any rehearsed BS stories you hear in many other restaurants nowadays. The sharing concept makes the whole dining experience very enjoyable. The dishes, with their presentation and taste sensation, do come very close to Michelin Star level. The wine list is extensive and in every price range, with lovely wines to choose from to accompany the dishes to your liking. You clearly can see the signature of owner and chef Rick May all over the place. You can taste his love for the traditional Spanish Cuisine and he really brings it to the next level! When in Haarlem, do vist Restaurant Bodega and you won’t be disappointed …

We had to take chef’s special menu because if you go as a group(more than 6people) there is no option like dish selection. Employees are friendly and helpful to pick or modify as your wishes. Taste of the food worths to try but not all dishes were wow but in average it is a little bit higher than average. Price for that experience 60-70€ pp including drink. Definitely suggested if you are looking something elegant in affordable price this is the place!

Food is perfect, the restaurant is incredibly beautiful. Really recommend it!
