Great North offers a wonderful Vietnamese dining experience. The menu is extensive, featuring dishes that go beyond the usual offerings. The food is delicious and reasonably priced. However, the highlight is the charming and sophisticated atmosphere. This restaurant is definitely worth a visit for a memorable lunch or dinner in Hanoi. Highly recommended. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Chim Sao:
I tried the eggplant (decent), fresh spring rolls (average), deep fried pork (average), roasted pigeon (poor), and fried spring rolls (delicious) at this restaurant. Overall, the food was mediocre or below average, with the exception of the fried spring rolls. I wouldn't recommend going out of your way to dine here for the food. The bill came out to around 500k for the dishes mentioned above. View all feedback.
We spend one of our best nights in hanoi in this place. Amazing and authentic food and very friendly service. Yes noisy, but we come in contact with the locals and were so happy to come there. It is also a good option for vegetarians.

This place offers home made food like if you were invited to a Vietnamese friends house. The portions are bigger than you can expect. We asked the waiter in english the size of the portion and hinted its quite small. And it was a mistake to order too many dishes and couldn't finish them at all. Think 3 to 4 dishes would be enough for 2 adults. We ordered 6 dishes. The taste of the food... I'm not sure how to describe it since I didn't know what to expect. Its pretty rustic no frill cooking. Some dishes were blend and some dishes tasted vinegar sour that didn't go well with the ingredients. But it was a fun experience tasting other food items than pho, Banh mi, Bun Cha and Banh xeo. I'd say 3.5 stars
Everything was delicious! many great diving sauce. Banana blossom salad was delicious, must try! Salted egg tofu was also good. Our whole food and apple wine for 4 was $40.
I visited this restaurant with my friend in May and absolutely loved the food. It was delicious! We sampled a variety of dishes and each one was excellent. The atmosphere is really nice with friendly staff. The prices are reasonable and the portions are generous. It is recommended to make a reservation for a table in advance. I am confident that if you dine here, you will not be disappointed.
