Sitar - Gwynedd
Sitar
Description
This once-cherished takeout spot in Bethesda has experienced a significant decline in quality and value. Patrons lament overpriced, subpar food with shrinking portions and unappealing flavors, leaving many feeling dissatisfied. While service has been praised for its efficiency, some encounters reveal a troubling lack of customer support when issues arise. Though a few did enjoy their meals, citing tasty curries and generous portions, these positive experiences seem overshadowed by the growing trend of disappointment. Diners are left wondering if this establishment can recapture the magic it once held or if it has become yet another overpriced option.

The ordering process was very quick and easy. The gentleman who answered the phone was very helpful. Our food was ready in just 20 minutes and tasted great. The portions were large, perfect for both me and my girlfriend. We would definitely return!
This place isn’t as good as it used to be. I suppose that what happens when there is hardly any competition around. Food is ok by WAY too expensive. Takeaway food at restaurant prices.
The worst Indian food I've ever tasted, this restaurant used to be great, now it's disgusting, we took the food back the next day at 4:00, and were told to come back at 9:00, when we went back at 9:00 after waiting 5 hours, we were told that we couldn't have our money back, as we didn't bring it back the previous night, which we couldn't do as we'd had a drink. Disgusting food, disgraceful service, and they are dishonest. Avoid
Food had a very bad rancid taste and chicken was rubbery . Got a glimpse into the kitchen and it was filthy dirty. Prices were nearly double what you can get a decent meal for elsewhere.
This has been a beloved takeout spot for years, but in the last three months, the quality has declined significantly. The portion sizes have shrunk, the ingredients are of poor quality, and the prices have almost doubled. Remember, this is a small street in Bethesda, not London.
