Stopped here for tea before heading home after a brilliant day in Barmouth. The food was hot and freshly prepared, didn't take long at all. All the staff were polite and even my dog got some biscuits as a treat off the owner, will be going back again! 10/10 View all feedback.
What melodeonboy doesn't like about Pavillion Cafe:
I received a cup of filter coffee at this restaurant, but it was anything but that. There was a strange light brown residue on top that I couldn't recognize, and underneath was a watery liquid that was just as unappetizing. The taste was absolutely terrible, making it the worst coffee I've ever tried. View all feedback.

We visited on a quiet weekday morning and found the staff to be friendly. Most of our group enjoyed the bacon bap and the views were lovely. The outdoor picnic tables had parasols and there was a wide selection of Marshfield's ice cream available. However, the restaurant may not be suitable for individuals with celiac disease, as there was a lack of awareness of this condition. Although they offered to make a gluten-free breakfast, our celiac guest chose to have ice cream instead to avoid the risk of cross-contamination. We made it clear that a fresh scoop was needed, but the server mistakenly suggested that a small amount of gluten wouldn't be harmful. Despite our explanations, the server twice offered a gluten-containing waffle cone. Overall, the staff's understanding of celiac disease was lacking.
The food at this restaurant was delicious during our visit yesterday. We enjoyed a breakfast of eggs and toast with a side of hash browns. The hot chocolate here is also quite good. However, we are giving it 3 stars because some of the staff were rude to customers and seemed disorganized. There were mix-ups with orders being delivered to the wrong tables, causing frustration for some diners. Despite our positive experience with the food, we witnessed other customers receiving poor treatment from the staff. This inconsistency in service is why we have rated this restaurant 3 stars.
Thank you to the team for the extra special attention you gave to us on our Easter visit. My niece who has Cerbral Palsy was super excited when her dessert
Cafe is right on the beach no doubt a mega busy location in the summer. We just wanted a cold drink after a walk on the beach, the tables outside all wet (hadn’t rained for at least 5 hours), why hadn’t anyone wiped them? Tables under cover, well they were filthy (see photos), obviously not been cleaned for who knows how long. Ordered at the counter, guy was a right grump, no personality or engagement. I asked if there was any dog bowls, reply: “there should be some outside”. Needless to say there wasn’t any I didn’t want to trouble the guy as customers were obviously an inconvenience for him. I could see the kitchen from counter, some dodgy practices going on (I am trained in food hygiene). Complete utter garbage, I hate it when businesses thrive just because of their location with little or no customer service, this is alas one of those. I also couldn’t find this cafe as being food hygiene rated…… Lots of nice cafes in town, give this one a wide berth.
