The vegan dough was absolutely delicious. It had a perfect level of spice and an ideal consistency. The portion was large, making it great for cooking at home. Plus, it can be conveniently frozen and enjoyed whenever we have some free time! View all feedback.

Turned up on Thursday at 11am and they had sold out of the infamous pasties, so went today at 9.30qm and got one (well, three . Sat munching the ones we thought were the more mild, commented on how spicy they were for mild, then got home and tried the third and realised the obvious! For someone who is not a spicy food fan, I’m a convert. Will got back 100% when next in Blaenau. View all feedback.
This restaurant is absolutely amazing! We were regular customers during our stay in Blaenau Ffestiniog. Their pastries are perfect to take on a hike - even cold, they are delicious and filling. We recommend visiting and supporting them daily if possible. Arrive early to avoid missing out - we never arrived after 9AM. Thank you for the great service and delicious pastries every day!
The owner was extremely friendly. They strictly enforce a first come, first served policy so be prepared to wait your turn. The menu has limited options but everything is handmade. I will definitely be returning to this restaurant.
I recently tried the Kurdish pastie at this restaurant after seeing it featured on a TV show. The dough was fluffy and bread-like, similar to a bao bun rather than a traditional pastry. It was stuffed with delicious spiced minced meat, making it very filling and tasty. The owner was also very friendly. I highly recommend trying this dish if you are in the area.
With Supermarket bread identified as ultra processed foods, having Model Bakery is a real blessing. Bought a couple of specialty loaves and was tempted by the lightly spiced vegan pastie for lunch today (I’m not even a veggie , blown away by the value (big! and exceptional taste. I got the cheese, potato and onion pasty which was amazing! The Jamaican vegetable pasty was even better, very flavourful and the pastry was very flakey. The brownie and gingerbread was scrummy! Amazing service, very friendly and the price is extremely affordable, 10/10!
