An absolute life saver! After the leader of our walking group, thought it would be hilarious to take the longest path up to the summit and then tell us that he had forgotten to bring more than 1 litre of water for us to drink. I almost resorted to drinking from a small stream on the path downwards. Almost passing out from thirst, I reached the cafe and bought a huge bottle of water, which was swiftly drank. Thank God... I was grateful to stop at this halfway point with my elderly mother for a break. My mother, who is a senior citizen, needed to use the restroom. However, we were told in a very rude manner that the restroom was not for public use and that we should squat behind a rock instead. My 73-year-old mother is unable to squat behind a rock. Despite the TV program showing a seemingly friendly staff member, she was actually qui... View all feedback.
Yes, this is a tiny stone building halfway up the Llanberis trail on the way to the summit of Snowdon. Is it pricey? Yes is it warm and dry? Yes. Maybe if all the ill prepared overweight, grumpy charity ramblers had prepared themselves for this walk they would not need to block out every table here. This is not a posh place, but please do not have a go off this place just because you are too lazy carrying your own tube of Pringles up the ‘mountain’. Yes, with more than 100,000 walkers on the mountain every year sadly offering free toilets simply aren’t doable. And yes they block up, break and is being taken advantage off so if you need to **** or poop, bring a bag and a trowel!
Such a welcome sight, just as we were in need of a cuppa. A well stocked little cafe and a lovely cup of tea. A choice of biscuits, cakes and sandwiches to suit all tastes and the ladies were lovely. We can understand not having a toilet here, and also that you take your rubbish with you, but clearly some people do not.... why??
Was pleasure arriving here today the staff the 2 ladies so kind couldn’t do enough so kind and kindly borrowed me her ruck sack xx
Climbed Snowdon 3 years ago and was great facility with working toilet, however climbing last week there is no toilet available! Understand may not be most sustainable location, so have to wait till you reach the top and join the very long queue!
Very large signs on the doors saying no toilets, makes it unwelcoming. We were fully prepared to be refilling and refuelling here, but seeing the brusque signs was not a good start. After that in the way down their off road transporter didn't even bother slowing down or waiting for people to clear out of its way. Completely pointless cafe given they have no toilets!
