Description
Nestled in the charming town of Barmouth, this independent coffee and cake shop offers a delightful blend of artisan coffee, delicious homemade cakes, and a varied menu of savory options. Most patrons appreciate the quality and generous portions, particularly praising the fresh flavors and reasonable prices. While some have noted inconsistencies in service, with reports of unfriendly staff and cleanliness issues, many express satisfaction with the warm atmosphere and friendly service. The possibility of longer waits due to freshly prepared meals is seen as a worthwhile trade-off for the overall experience, making it a tempting choice for locals and visitors alike.

I have visited this restaurant many times. They consistently serve high-quality food and excellent drinks. I usually stop in for lunch and they always have a few specials available. The service is efficient and friendly. The fact that the restaurant is always busy is a good sign. And their cakes are always delicious!
Visited on a very busy Saturday morning in September, it was packed out but one spare table. When I ordered our full English breakfasts I was told there would be at least a 40 minute wait. That was fine, and good of them to tell us that. We enjoyed our coffees to wait and the breakfasts arrived at the time anticipated. They were excellent with quality ingredients on the plate. I don’t mind waiting for food that good. We often just pop in for coffee and cakes and that’s always great too.
Visited today for coffee and lunch, friendly staff. Nice cappuccinos and beautiful pancakes. Will definitely visit again
Beautiful breakfast and prompt service, going to have to come again and try some other dishes Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Glad we picked this place over the others. We went on a very wet Monday in Feb after half term. We walked past the other cafe which were all dead and looked more like a spoon cafe. This place is a more modern looking like an sbux. The food was fantastic. The menu was a bit confusing because I’m not used to eating 99% of the items but I was incredibly happy with my avo on toast. Coffee was delicious and so were what looked like the ice coffees being prepared on the side that I was told was research into new menu items. One thing that I’d love to know the story around is why the toilet is only suitable for number 1’s lol so if you need a number 2 this place isn’t for you. All in all very nice place to stop for coffee and food Meal type: Brunch Price per person: £10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
