Have been here many times over the years. Interested to see how it was after a few negative reviews. Good news is it’s still the same informal, friendly, efficient place it ever was. This restaurant is in need of firm management and a qualified chef.Service is slow, some of the staff contradicted each other, but most importantly, the menu is decidedly basic. By lunchtime, they had run out to lager, there were signs of poor hygiene foot and handmarks where the staff boot or push the kitchen door open . We stopped in for a quick lunch on our way home and were pleasantly surprised by the delicious and generous portions of food. We enjoyed the pheasant goujons, turkey roast, and beef brisket roast. The restaurant is super dog-friendly and even has a menu for our furry friends. The staff were very friendly as well. We will definitely be returning in the future.

The food was excellent and expertly prepared. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at this restaurant. Located in the hills with a stunning view, we highly recommend dining here. It is definitely worth a visit!
