The reason for eating here was based on previous reviews as a good place for breakfast with lovely comments and pictures of croissants and pastries but unfortun... read more The reason for eating here was based on previous reviews as a good place for breakfast with lovely comments and pictures of croissants and pastries but unfortunately there were none and no hot food available until cook arrived at 10. We were there at 9 for breakfast before the open day. I had a slice of cake for breakfast and a coffee both of which were lovely but not really what I was after. My daughter had a cheese and ham bagel which she liked. I’m not complaining (much) but just want others to know what is available for breakfast now so you can plan accordingly. I’d have liked a waffle for breakfast or a croissants. They did have lots of pre packed sandwiches and there was a cheese filled croissant which you could get heated but I don’t like them. The cake selection was good and they were delicious. We came back for lunch and had the specials, Tarka dhal and a chicken curry. Both lovely. A nice cafe, modern, clean, good staff just more breakfast options please.

We were greeted with fresh bagels and a fantastic selection of freshly baked treats on our first visit to the newly opened Begin cafe on the third level of Pont... read more We were greeted with fresh bagels and a fantastic selection of freshly baked treats on our first visit to the newly opened Begin cafe on the third level of Pontio. It was a bit tricky to find at first, but definitely worth the adventure! The cozy space had large glass windows overlooking a patio, which I can imagine will be perfect in the summer. Today, we enjoyed a delicious latte with a good strength and flavor, along with a variety of pastries (photos uploaded hopefully). The choccy twist, pain au raisin, and sweet baked 'pretzel' were all amazing! The space is really lovely and definitely worth a visit.

The coffee was top-notch and I... read more I had a great experience at Cegin in Bangor! They have a wonderful variety of Danish pastries and delicious bagels on their menu. The coffee was top-notch and I was impressed that they offered soy milk, which not all coffee shops do. I enjoyed a lovely soy latte during my visit. I would highly recommend Cegin to anyone in the area. The location is charming and they even have a lovely sun terrace that I'm sure will be popular in the summer.
