Nice little cafe great selection of cakes (flapjack was awesome) lots of drink options plus they do various other types of food. Staff very pleasant and a thank you to the young staff member you allowed my pregnant wife to use the staff toilet (due to the toilets near the beach being out of order) Overall a great cafe with great views and reasonably priced View all feedback.
What clarehY5591CZ doesn't like about Caffi Porthor:
I can only describe this café as disorganized. It took 40 minutes for me to receive two coffees, and during that time, some staff members were just standing behind the counter, seemingly staring into space. Given that it's August, I would expect them to be operating at peak efficiency. They are really letting the place down. View all feedback.
We visited the cafe towards the end of the summer holidays. Although it was busy, the place was well-staffed. There were quite a few people in line, so we expected to wait, which is typical during peak season. We ordered sandwiches, soup, and cold drinks. The staff, all young women, were commendably hardworking. However, I found the prices at the higher end of what I'd consider reasonable. We each ordered the soup and sandwich combo, but I was disappointed that it didn’t come with any salad garnish. Unfortunately, we both left the soup untouched, as it was quite unappetizing—so thick that you could lift a chunk with your spoon. Aside from the soup, we were satisfied with our experience. The cafe offers seating both indoors and outdoors, and they also have a small selection of beach essentials for sale, including wetsuits, buckets, spades, and paddle boards, which was a nice touch.
Unfortunately, the café was closed when I visited, but I can only imagine how bustling it must be during the summer. It's situated in a breathtaking location right on the beach! I would love to come back on a warm, sunny day!
We walked from Aberdaron to Porthor Whistling Sands, a round trip of 6.7 miles. For lunch, I had a baked potato with cheese and salad, while my brother ordered a spicy bean burger with chips and a salad. My potato was enormous and perfectly cooked, and my brother remarked that his meal was also delicious, with generous portions. We also got blueberry scones and paninis to take away. Once back in Aberdaron, we tried the scones, and they were the best I've ever tasted—packed with blueberries and bursting with flavor. I highly recommend visiting this lovely café in Porthor; you won't be disappointed, and make sure to try the scones!

I visited this afternoon and was impressed by the friendly and efficient service. The tea and coffee were excellent, and both the lemon drizzle cake and fruit scone were delicious.
