The food quality is subpar, likely due to the lack of a skilled chef. The staff, particularly the unimpressive short boy at the counter, are unfriendly. There are many better dining options in the area.

The cleanliness was impeccable, but overall, this place did not live up to its claim of being the finest watering hole in the north.

The menu was disappointing with not many options. We only ordered 2 bowls of chips, a buttered bap, a cake and a cup of tea and it came to £19.50!!! Expensive in my eyes. Won’t be going again unfortunately.

The food wa... read more We were looking for a nice food stop but there wasn’t much around. I read reviews stating this place had tasteless food… we decided to give it a go. The food was really good and flavoured. I had the vegan curry with salad. The coffee is really good also. I didn’t find the staff the friendliest. The cafe has a nice setting and I would return for the food again. Not dog friendly inside but you can sit outside.
