I can verify what other reviewers said. Good food, the desert was scrumptious, so nice my partner just had to have it too when she saw mine served. Beautiful lakeside view overlooking the park and very friendly and efficient service. Heartily recommend. A hidden gem. Average restaurant prices, definitely not budget, but generous servings and well cooked steaks and fish. View all feedback.

What a wonderful find! Located inside the Gwandalan Bowling Club, this restaurant offers stunning views of the lake and serves deliciously cooked meals with attentive and friendly service. I have dined here twice now and have been impressed both times. On my first visit, I tried the eye fillet which was tender, perfectly cooked, and great value at $25. During my next visit, I enjoyed the delectable salmon with sweet potato, onion, baby spinach, and a flavorful dressing. Two members of our group opted for the generous pork cutlets, which were cooked to perfection and full of flavor, while another indulged in a delicious scotch fillet. Once again, all meals were priced at $25 per person, making it an exceptional value for such high-quality dining experience.
The restaurant offers a relaxing atmosphere with a lovely view of Lake Macquarie. The prices are reasonable and they have a kids menu. The service is great and we visit often. However, we have a small complaint about the lack of egg in the caesar salad. We have asked for it to be added before, but have always been refused. The one time they did add a fried egg, it was a strange addition to a traditional caesar salad. Adding a poached egg would make it much better.

Another time we came for meals in my birthday, our served table is prepared without any knifes, forks and serviettes, salt and pepper. Staff and manager ignored us even though my mother in-law had talked about her bad experience another day to the owner.
What a disappointment - went there today and had a very very ordinary piece of cake tasting like it was least three days old and small coffee which came to $10.00. Haven't been for a few months and it seems the previous staff and wonderful dessert magician have left so don't expect to be wowed by the food and especially the presentation any time soon.
