DesBarres Manor Inn - Guysborough

We weren't sure we wanted to have dinner at the Manor or somewhere else, but in the end we were tired and decided not to go out. That was clearly the right decision. The service was outstanding. The menu although limited, was tantalizing. The meal was well presented and delicious. Great attention to detail! A must if you are staying at the manor, or anywhere in Guysborough!

Excellent wine list to accompany the fantastic food. Probably the finest dining choice in the area. If you are staying at the inn, I can't imagine going anywhere else.

Our experience from the time we walked in the door was excellent. We had walked out of Pepperlane B and B as the owner was so rude and what a refreshing experience. We also had dinner here and the service and food were excellent

During our vacation in Nova Scotia, we found it hard to find a good restaurant that didn't look like a snack bar or a family restaurant.One night, we had dinner at the Des Barres Manor Inn and were not disappointed at all. The plates were well presented, the fish was delicious, the list of wines was appropriate and the service was outstanding.I would recommend this restaurant to anyone travelling in the Maritimes and looking for a fine dining place. Please note that reservations are required.

An upscale inn where dinner is served. Our room was large and all what you would expect for the price. The staff was very friendly and professional. The breakfast was quite ordinary (scrambled eggs) from what one might expect from the surroundings but overall a fine establishment......
