Food was great! Ribs were a little on the burned side, but hubbies slaw was great I never got my slaw. Chopped beef was perfect. I love that their air conditioning is nice and cold. View all feedback.
My family comes to visit from Dallas. They always want to go to Stables..me too. The salad bar is great and I always feel welcome.
Our server was new and made a mistake but owned up to it and the food was really good.
Loved the buffet but it wasn't as big as we thought it would be and salad bar on Friday night. I would return for a lunch just for the salad bar though as its excellent. We waited a while though for service and weren't sure what was going on so really needed our waiter. Then had to stop the waiter several times for help. But we would return.
We ate there 2 nights. The food was so good. Ribs and salad bar are 10 out of 10. The 2nd night we got the buffet. It was 21.00 each with ONLY ONE TIME trip. The meat was stocked well however the other items we not stocked well and had old item in them. The chocolate cake was fair, but it looked like someone had been hacked to death. It was not a 21.00 meal. Our waiter the 2nd night was so bad I did not leave her a tip. I will give praises to the lady in charge of the salad bar and the onions straws are excellent. BBQ sauce was really good too.
My friend and I called in a sliced bar-b-que sandwich with fries at 8:45, thinking they were open until 10:00, as they are on Friday and Saturday nights. Even at this late hour, Elijah and Saden were so gracious and accommodating to get our to go order just as we had asked. Tony, one of the Head Cooks who’s been there for years, prepared our dinner. OMGOSH it was delicious! They butter and grill the buns and the sliced brisket was SO tender. The French fries were crispy golden, cooked to perfection, even at this late hour. I’m craving sliced brisket as I write this! They also have a burger, I think it’s called a Western Burger, with a homemade sweet/sour hickory sauce and cheddar cheese piled and broiled, all melty with the finest quality ground beef..I’ve heard an occasional slur that someone thought it wasn’t a clean restaurant. I would like to say-It’s an OLD restaurant, parts of it were built around 1900’s, but one of the cleanest I’ve seen. The cooks scrub and hose down the kitchen EVERY night! Not many restaurants are as fastidious!
