This restaurant is always bustling, and it’s easy to see why—they serve the best breakfast in the city. I was truly impressed. Everything was top-notch, and I can’t wait to go back. It felt like a great diner experience, reminiscent of home. What User doesn't like about Katie's Diner:
Maybe they have really good food, but don't take young kids with them because they just throw you out. my 5 months old wept because he was hungry and the waitress said I had to make him calm. when he did not stop crying, they told us we had to go. they are definitely not family oriented!! def will not recommend it!! I highly recommend this place, but be sure to arrive early since they close at 2:00 PM. As I mentioned, it’s always busy with plenty of patrons, so you might have to wait, but trust me, it’s worth it.
I love the atmosphere in the home town. to die! the waiting staff is friendly, friendly and on site.
Good eating with a pleasant staff. had the 'burger deal', cheese burger, pommes and drink for $7,50. burger was huge, they think the sign said 1/2 pfund, and it was considerably larger than the bungalow. while I like whataburger, there is no comparison for only one buck anymore, that was a much bigger and tastier burger. they also had many other options on the menu, and another good meal in good hair.
Katie's is a charming, inviting, and cozy restaurant. We've visited for both breakfast and lunch, and they truly excel at breakfast, while lunch can be quite busy. We sampled the French Toast, Belgian Waffle, and a BLT. The bacon was delicious, though a bit undercooked and very thin. The sausage patties were mild in flavor. While the Home Fries and Hash Browns were cooked well, they lacked seasoning. We absolutely loved the French Toast and Waffle, but the highlight was definitely the Coffee and Chocolate Cake. If you order the French Toast, make sure to ask your server for the butter on the side, as it was overly drenched in melted butter and egg batter today.
This is a great place for breakfast, the staff is very friendly and attentive. The over east eggs were done perfectly. The only down side is the dining room is small, but the prices are very reasonable
