Golden Corral Buffet Grill - Gurnee

Food selection is not great. most meats were very dry. uneven tables and even where the food is made available. all in all I wanted to give this place a star, but the service was ok, the people were nice to a point. I would not recommend friends or family. good place to go when another layer is here. fix them and they have luck having some front staff they have. I don't know what's going on with the rest of the workers.

Just like any other place the price for launch went up food was actually very good. I live in Palatine. Two weeks ago I went to the one in Palatine my experience was horrible I'll never go back to the Palatine one. The reason why I gave four stars and not five is because our service wasn't that great. Other than that everything else was good

I went here with some friends last week. The staff all seemed very attentive and busy. I can't overstate how good the staff was. I had set my plate down temporarily at another table so that I could get ketchup, and when I looked a moment later after taking back my plate, the spot had already been wiped down and cleaned. Also, shout out to Shawanda (or some similar name)... She was a great server.The food was pretty good for what it was. I especially liked the salad options.For the not as good stuff... I'm not docking a star or anything, since I feel like it is either happenstance or a corporate thing.For the first thing maybe I misjudged it, but the men's handicap bathroom seemed like it wouldn't lock, due to it looking like the wood was stripped or something. Again, I could be mistaken, but it looked that way.Second thing there was only one cashier. They did what they could, but it seemed like the computer was maybe having issues and freezing or not processing transactions. This happens at many places, even Six Flags, so I'm not sure if having a second cashier would have helped... But I think it is worth mentioning.Third thing at least two of us seemed to get stomach aches from the bourbon chicken, or maybe the shrimp. We didn't have an overlap of much of the same food, but the two of us that had the chicken/shrimp had a bit of a stomach ache within an hour or sooner of eating it.I hope no one is deterred by this review though. Based on how well management seemed to have trained their staff, I imagine that *if* anything is wrong here, they will try to make it right in the future. Overall, it was definitely a good experience.

Please, shut this place down! My husband and I went to eat dinner there. As he is walking down the line of food he spotted a huge roach. Before he could take a picture/ and find the waiter it was gone!! I ran to the bathroom to throw up when I came out I asked for a manager I was crying as we explained what we had seen. Her response was horrifying she said other people have complained about seeing them too. She went to the register and refunded my money. The waiters where rude and I fealt like they where laughing at us. I would never go back there again!! NEVER

Went here after my sister's funeral. the manager was amazing helpful and caring. the food was good. it was a great experience during a horrible family time.
