Summary: The starters, both veg and non-vegetarian are pretty normal. They do not stand out as you would expect from a speciality restaurant but you won’t regret ordering it. The main course is abysmally low and disappointing. You can easily pass it. Esp at their price point. Would always recommend Bukhara any day over this place. The ambience too pretty average. Analogy would be any normal Indian restaurant with better cutlery. During my recent visit, had an extremely unpleasant experience. The main course was absolutely cold, the breads were stale and again appeared to be cooked long back. The chef was over-confident and felt that food gets cold as a result of being transferred served in plates bowls. So no empathy or apology for not doing the job right. Thus I would not be shy to say that it is an unprofessional place to dine in. The taste too does not hit the palate and felt that they don’t know the way to operate run a restaurant. You can easily pass this place.
I have had dinner on two consecutive nights at this place. Both of them a-ma-zing. To start with, they have a good Australian Shiraz (Laughing Magpie 2008) that, due to its spiciness, goes very with Indian cuisine. On my first day, I first had the chicken kebab follwed by chicken chettinad (a fiery hot chicken stew from the South). They had the politeness to recommend that I first taste the chettinad, and if it was too hot they would exchange them for free. I ended up mopping the dish with my naan. On my second day I had more Shiraz, together with a very good vegetable tandoori kebab (tomato, onion, potatoe, cauliflower), plus another chicken stew (forgot the name). In this case, the main course was considerably less hot, but still delicious. Exquisite service. Live sitar music. Price about INR 4,000 each night (1 person, 2 glasses of wine, starter and main). Yes, I know you can eat for less in India, but still...
Great place for a party of 12 or more. Food is excellent and servers are courteous. Our server Shivam fulfilled our special request as well and made our experience even better.
The first thing you will notice about this restaurant is that the ceilings are super high and there is live melodious tunes of Persian influenced music. The different dishes available are plentiful and everything just looks and tastes good. One of their best items is the Biryani, do try that if you can.
Nice restaurant in a beautiful hotel. The service is impeccable and also the dishes. Wonderful atmosphere with live classic Indian music
