Im Holsteiner Fährhaus - Gummersbach

If you are in the Gummersbach area, you should visit the Holsteiner ferry house. This restaurant is almost a lake museum. With a lot of freedom, the owner carried everything that has to do with seafaring. On different levels you will find all conceivable and sometimes also suriles via diving helmets, boats, ship bells. The restaurant is known for excellent steaks prepared in an open kitchen at the entrance. But there is also a wide selection of other dishes. If we go to dinner here, we usually take the pork fillet menu. A large piece of pork fillet is roasted everywhere and this is super delicate. The thicker American pommes are added and a huge bowl of salad is added. Before the food comes, you get a big cup of soup. This place is also suitable for families because the children are intrigued from the interior of the house.

What a great place! Really beyond imagination... And then there's the food. : From starters until dessert, in one word SUPERB! We will come again soon. Staff's very helpfull and polite. Restaurant not acceseble for people in wheelchair.

Nice anitque and also nice ambience. There are lot of good collections of antique. One of the best service that we could find gummersbach.Team over here where very friendly. Food was awesome.The sweet potato wedges was amazing.and also the squid and smoked pork was really tasty.But the drinks was not so great. You could roam around and take nice view the antique collection also you could rake photos of it. There where toilets and also was clean. the entrance was with a narrow passage with blue light which intially gave a feelkng like we are entering a shisha bar. There is a parking place near by .but may be you have difficulty to get a parking place during friday evening and weekends.but there is free parking area just a few meter in the same road.

Wer sich im Raum Gummersbach befindet, der sollte einmal das Holsteiner Fährhaus besuchen. Dieses Restaurant ist fast ein Maritimes Museum. Mit viel Libe wurde vom Eigentümer alles was mit Seefahrt zu tun hat zusammen getragen. Auf verschiedenen Ebenen findet man über Taucherhelme, Schiffchen, Schiffsglocken alles Erdenkliche und zum Teil auch Skuriles. Das Restaurant ist für hervorragende Steaks bekannt, die in einer offenen Küche am Eingangsbereich zubereitet werden. Aber es gibt auch eine große Auswahl an anderen Gerichten. Wenn wir hierhin zum Essen fahren, nehmen wir meist das Schweinefilet Menü . Dabei wird ein grosses Stück Schweine Filet im ganzen gebraten und dies ist super zart. Dazu werden die dickeren Amerikanischen Pommes gereicht und eine riesige Schale Salat. Bevor das Essen kommt, erhält man eine grosse Tasse Suppe. Dieses Lokal ist auch für Familien gut geeignet, weil die Kinder von dem Inneren des Hauses fasziniert sind.
