During our 4 day stay in Gummersbach we decided the first day to eat here, then we ended up eating here every day! The fresh pizza and amazing pasta triggered us to come back. Very nice people, they make you feel at home. Prices are great, at around 7-10 euros for a pizza.Def recommended! View all feedback.
What Stella Srna doesn't like about Borsalino:
Cruel. Tomatoes Supe Fire Sharp Capriciosa salad. Plate large leaves of salad.. No lasagna. Pizza Tonno and Pizza Salami too. Not particularly. The best was bread. It was once a very good Italian restaurant. Too bad for time and money. Take it. Good reviews are more than 3 to 4 years ago. View all feedback.
Absolute catastrophe the chef was the server because the usual server was the wee on the list were not available the food quality was at the lowest avoid
On the first night very tasty pizza to go, and on the second evening pasta and lasagne as they were in italia. spinat on the side was amazing.
As Italian I am very hesitant to eat Italian food in foreign countries. but this restaurant was a beautiful discovery. the antipasto della casa was simple, but tasty and I have very much appreciated the gnocchi al pesto, which tasted as handmade, fresh and good... balanced with regard to ingredients. my wife appreciated the rigatoni al forno. the tiramisu was okay. we ordered red wine montepulciano, who was a little too young, but decent. the personal is very friendly and the service efficient. I would have rated the maximum, but they did not accept the visa, so I had to pay cash. that was disappointing.

We went to this restaurant by sheer chance whilst on a short break in Gummersbach. Right from the word go when entering the restaurant we we were greeted by friendly, helpful staff. We only ordered pizzas and house wine which tasted better then some...bottled wines I have ordered in the past) but weren't treated any less than if we had ordered a 3 course steak dinner. The pizzas were excellent and we were even given a free grappa at the end of the meal. Would I eat here again? Absolutely! Just try and stop me! Well done guys!
