Do not let think the exterior fool you. This place has the best po-boys that I have ever had. It seems to be run by a husband and wife, with the occasional help of their son. This is the kinda place that you would definitely need to call ahead if you have a large order. The oyster po-boy is highly recommended. I don't know where he gets his oysters but they are the best. Just enough breading and never View all feedback.
What Pamala Howell Paoli doesn't like about Cajun Food Mart:
thought we were somewhere else. Small popular place. Ate lunch, po-boy hamburger and fries. It was actually pretty good. Only a couple of tables. Looked like a store/ fast food combined. The only negative, the one lady that greeted us spoke with a very strong Asian accent that we could hardly understand, then she went to get her partner, we could understand him a little easier. The gumbo was soooo good it reminded of my mom's. Absolutely delicious and the nice man and women who work there are equally as pleasant.
Excellent food. Gumbo shrimp and chicken with excellent rue. Shrimp po boy excellent
I feel that everyone should experience this place for themselves at least once to know how good their food is. Everything on the menu is cooked with love. The gumbo is absolutely out if this world. The fish sandwich is also the bomb, fresh lettuce and tomatoes, pickles is you like as well. Fresh fish and only 5 bucks. When I say they are the best unheard of short stop eatery on the coast. They are just that. If you are ever close enough to check them out please do so you and your family or friends will be very very very pleased.
My shrimp poboy and egg rolls were delicious! The fried rice was great tasting. The only thing I didn't care for was the little pink shrimp in the rice. I'd rather fresh shrimp in it.
