Contribute FeedbackThis Gulfport gem offers a mixed dining experience, with some patrons feeling underwhelmed by the food and service, while others rave about the delicious offerings and friendly atmosphere. Despite some inconsistencies, the crab cakes receive high praise, along with the corn and crab chowder. The outdoor terrace provides a lovely setting, with heat lamps for cooler evenings. Reservations are recommended due to limited seating and remodeling efforts post-COVID. Overall, the restaurant seems to evoke strong emotions from both regular customers and first-time visitors, making it a destination worth trying for yourself.
This restaurant has the best crab cakes in the Tampa area, and I can say that with confidence as a Maryland native. The staff is fantastic and incredibly pet-friendly. They treat your pet like a king or queen, just like they treat you. Without a doubt, this is my favorite restaurant.
Service was wonderful thank you Carly) . Food is always good. Look at that crab in the crab cake.
I cant tell you how much I enjoyed this place! The food, the service and my favorite part was the manager! Best place in Gulfport
Honestly I think this place is over rated. I’ve lived here over 3 years and almost every time I walk by it’s not open. 3 weeks ago we tried to drop in on a Saturday night and despite many open tables we were turned away for not having a reservation. Tonight we finally got a reservation (in fact the host who sat us told us we were “lucky” to get one). The crab cakes are $17 each and really nothing special. The salmon dinner special was quite good but honestly I just found the overall experience to be less than I expected for the price. We had to ask for silverware after our meals were delivered. The chowder was thicker than cream of wheat, and though we only ordered one the waitress brought two and still tried to bill us for both. Not saying you won’t have a great experience here most people do but I just wasn’t impressed.
We finally got to have dinner here as we always seemed to be walking by when it wasn't open but last night we lucked out! We started out with the crab and corn chowder. We shared a bowl and are glad we did because it was very thick and hardy. It was loaded with chunks of backfin crab sitting on top and it was delicious! I had a scallop, shrimp and crab dish with a creamy roasted red pepper sauce served with a big piece of toasted Italian bread to soak up the sauce. It certainly didn't disappoint. My wife had a the mahi stuffed with crab, also with some of the same sauce. Very good too! We then each got gelato for dessert and it was some of the best gelato we have tasted, sea salt caramel for her and pistachio for me. Do not miss that to finish your meal! Our waitress was Ali and she was excellent, checking on us quite frequently but not too much that it was annoying. Definitely recommend making a point to eat here. It was worth finally getting there on the right night!
